How we work
Our goal is to make the filing process run as smooth as possible. Communication and an open relationship with your advisor are key factors in achieving this for you.
To ensure an open relationship and a good line of communication, we prefer to meet with clients before entering into an engagement; in addition, you will also like to know who is dealing with your personal tax affaires.
Therefore, after initial contact, either through our website or otherwise, every potential client is invited for a no-obligation one-hour personal intake to review their tax situation. This time can be used to gather invaluable information on their tax position and review personal tax planning possibilities.
If requested during the meeting, we can provide a summary of the tax services required for their tax position and provide a fee proposal. This fee proposal is based on the tax preparation services needed for the year, including review of tax correspondence and follow-up communication with the appropriate taxing authorities. The fee is all-in and covers unlimmited telephone calls, meetings and e-mails.
With this open fee structure, our clients are encouraged to contact us with questions that they may have on their tax position. Whether this is done by phone, e-mail or face-to-face during a meeting, the fee remains as quoted.
To ensure this level of service, we have also capped the volume of clients that we can service and still maintain this high service level:
- Dutch tax returns: maximum client volume of 400 tax returns per year - US tax returns: maximum client volume of 75 returns per year
